An out of stock item can delay your order up to several weeks. Sometimes the retailer will have the item in stock at their own warehouse. Other times the manufacturer doesn’t actually finish the item until you order. Sometimes retailers work with import distributors that have large quantities in stock and ready to ship. The important question is when your order is expected to be picked up by the shipper. After that you will have tracking information from the shipping company. If you don’t receive one, requesting an estimated ship date can be a good way to address your stock status concerns.
