Lawn Care Tip: Cut Up To 1/3 of the Blade of Grass

Adjust your lawn mower each time so that no more than one third of the typical blade of grass is trimmed. Cutting more than one third of the blade may kill it or at least make it discolored and unhealthy for a while. How fast your lawn grows depends on a lot of factors such as season, rain and watering schedule, sun, fertilizer, type of grass, etc. With busy schedules it can be a challenge keeping up in the spring. Maybe you just returned from vacation or your gardener is on vacation. Most lawn mowers adjust easily and following this guideline will help keep you lawn healthy.
